the world of golf stock photography, Joann Dost is best known
for her aerial photographs of Cypress Point, Pebble Beach and
Pacific Dunes. Inspired by Ansel Adams, Joann's work in golf
course photography is uniquely her own and her style stands
out among the other great photographers in the golf arts arena.
Like Linda Hartough, the famous golf landscape oil painter,
Joann's golf course photography shows depth and evokes emotion.
Along with her contemporaries, Brian Morgan, Mike Klemme, Dick
Durrance, John and Jeannine Henebry, Russell Kirk, Aidan Bradley
and Larry Lambrecht, Joann is carving out an historical niche
in the field of fine art photography in the world of golf.
Some of her most notable work includes photography
of Pebble Beach Golf Links for the 1982 and 1992 U.S. Open books,
and for her work in the classic Pebble Beach: "Pebble Beach: The Official History." written by Neal Hotelling.
Joann has photographed many of the world's
finest golf courses, including Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Pacific

Sunset at Cypress Point
Description:
This Collector’s Edition lithograph features an
aerial view of the finishing holes at Cypress Point and the stunning
landscape of Carmel Bay looking south toward the Big Sur mountains
and Point Sur.
Created in December, 2002 between early Winter
storms, the image captures the lush central California coastal
landscape illuminated by the setting sun of the Solstice.
The “Solstice Sunset at Cypress Point”
lithograph measures approximately 16” x 20”. Each
piece is signed, numbered, mounted on an acid-free base sheet,
and presented in an art folio with a certificate of authenticity.
